Hello, my name is Ayanna Tucker.

I am a health communications specialist based in Baltimore, Maryland.

I graduated from Howard University in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences and the University of Maryland in 2019 with a Master of Public Health. As a masters student I concentrated in behavioral and community health in the University of Maryland School of Public Health where I was trained to plan, implement and evaluate community-based programs. During my studies I gained experience as a health educator with Healthy Living Inc. and communications intern at the American Public Health Association and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Currently, I serve as a communications specialist at Johns Hopkins Medicine.

My vast medical knowledge combined with my communications skills and deep understanding of public health issues and best practices allows me to approach health communications with a well rounded perspective. Through my background in nutrition and public health I am able to engage various populations with health content from a molecular level to a policy level and beyond. I am immensely passionate about finding innovative and creative ways to communicate health and encourage healthy behaviors.
